Short Animations
I am able to create short animations using a combination of Photoshop, Flash, and AfterEffects.
The two animations below are the longest I have created. They were both for a college animation class at Parsons. They feature my main character "Maggie the Dreamer", a young child who loves to imagine and create despite a grumpy art teacher.
For both of these animations I made hand-painted backgrounds using watercolor, gouache, acrylic, and ink. I then scanned each image and superimposed my photoshop animation of Maggie on top.
I primarily use Photoshop and Procreate to create animations currently.
GIFs
I frequently create GIFs for both my own personal promotion and for the promotion of professional social media accounts. I use Photoshop and Procreate to create GIFS.
Sometimes I create original graphics in Illustrator or Procreate before importing them into an animated design. Other times my work requires me to use pre-set photos arranged in a certain pattern and timed to a certain frequency. GIF creation is fast, fun, and effective and enjoy making them!
