Snowglobe Trotters

For a short, personal project at The New School I created these spreads as a concept for a children's book.

The book features a child and their aunt. The child cannot go on vacation but can imagine by visiting their aunt's home which features snow globes she has collected throughout her life. Each snow globe highlights a specific location and the child imagine themselves in a variety of fantastical situations. The scenes I chose to draw depict: The NASA Space Station, Hawaii, and The Swiss Alps.

I created these illustrations by hand painting watercolor swatches and then scanning them into my computer. I cut them into shapes digitally and then used Photoshop to arrange and outline them into specific designs. I exported these spreads as high quality PDF prints with room for possible text.
